I’ve always believed that you don’t always have to make a huge hole in your pockets to look good. Styling and budget can go hand in hand. Of course it’s difficult but trust me it’s possible. As i’m a student I do not prefer spending loads of amount on my clothing and accessories. There are a lot of ways to keep your outfit on point and still manage to save your bucks. In this blog i’m gonna write about a few things that help me save a lot of money while shopping.
Things to do:
- Shop during end of season sales: Usually during such sales when brands want to clear their stock, they tend to throw huge discounts on products, take advantage of this and save your shopping list until then.
- Shop online: Online stores like myntra, amazon, flipkart etc have offers going on at all time check them out and in case you are not happy with the product, you can always return them. Gone are those days when online shopping was a risk.
- Tailored clothing: Tailored clothes not only fit the best but also save a lot of your bucks. When it comes to formal wear I’d always recommend tailored clothing. Average cost of a tailored shirt: high quality fabric- 200 to 250/mt, Stitching- Rs 250-300 That’s it there you have a premium shirt ready. You’d easily spend about RS 1500 on a readymade shirt of the same quality.
- Look out for combos: Always look out for good quality combos especially while buying t-shirts. These can be perfect for regular use and also college. But make sure they are from a genuine brand and good quality.
- Look out for smaller brands: These days there are a lot of upcoming brands that provide top quality products at a very reasonable price. One such brand that I could recommend is Roadsters. They’ve got some amazing collection of clothing and accessories, you should definitely check them out.
Things not to do:
- Avoid copies: Instead of buying a product that is a copy buy a similar product from a smaller brand with better quality.
- Quantity>Quality: This is a huge mistake that most people do and which I’ve done myself. Never prefer quantity over quality. One good quality shirt would last much more longer than three average quality shirts.
That's all folks!
Hope you enjoyed my first blog.
